We are all Star Trek fans in my family. Last summer, we watched the entire Original Series (in order). We have been working our way through The Next Generation during the school year, and just started season 4. We watched the first (new) movie with the kids and plan on going to see Into the Darkness with them soon.
The Boy says he wants to be Data when he grows up. The Girl is contemplating a Troi Halloween costume for next year.
The Boy's 7th birthday is this weekend, and he asked for a Star Trek theme.
We often "Pic-Trek" - picnicking in the living room whilst watching Star Trek episodes.
So, yeah...I couldn't resist taking part in the Edible Geekery Star Trek Blog Hop.
I don't normally do cheese art, but I pulled out my food markers and went to town.

Spinach: 2g. Sandwich & Data: 20g, strawberries & insignia: 5g, carrots: 2g |
The Boy has an applesauce for snack (not pictured, 15g). His lunch is a bagel thin sandwich with hummus and turkey on a bed of spinach, with a cheddar cheese Data, along with strawberries with a cheddar Star Trek Insignia, and some carrots with an Enterprise ring. I wish I had a black food marker. And the cheese has a hole in the cheek so it looks like Data has a freckle or a freak random mole..
The Girl has an apple for snack (not pictured). Her lunch is the same as The Boy's, but with a Star Trek Insignia in cheddar, and a Vulcan Salute in cheddar with her strawberries.
Live Long and Prosper, dear readers. And, hop on to
Bento For Kidlet and see what Jen has come up with to celebrate the joy that is Star Trek.
