Family Lunches: 12.1.14

Back from Thanksgiving break!

I don't know about you, but one of my favorite things about Thanksgiving is the pie turkey leftover sandwiches.  The Hubby and I didn't have Thanksgiving at our house this year, but were with his parents and mine - so we decided to cook up our own turkey yesterday.

I, of course, neglected to get any pictures of the turkey before it was carved - but suffice to say, we roasted a really beautiful turkey.

Sandwich: 40g, potatoes: 20g, apple slices: 4g, green beans: 1g
For lunches, The Boy has a leftover sandwich with mashed potatoes, a little stuffing, and turkey, along with some roasted potatoes, green beans, and apple slices.  His snack is a cereal bar (not pictured, 28g)

The Girl has a leftover sandwich with cranberry sauce and mayo, along with stuffing and turkey.  She also has roasted potatoes, green beans, and apple slices.  She told me that she doesn't need a snack.

The Hubby has a leftover sandwich with mashed potatoes, a little stuffing, and turkey.  He also has roasted potatoes, an apple slice (it didn't fit into the kids' lunches), green beans, and a small container of our gravy (I basted the turkey with apple cider - this made the drippings amazing for gravy!).
