Review & Giveaway: Eco-Friendly Reusable straws and caps - Cool Caps and Cool Straws!

A while back, I got a chance to try out a great new product from GreenPaxx.  Since the kids love smoothies, and we're always looking for reusable and easy products, I thought that the reusable silicone straws and lids would be a fun thing to try!

The caps fit on larger cups and glasses, and might even fit on a wide mouth mason jar (I haven't tried yet).  The SEALED caps are leak resistant, too!

The straws are two part silicone straws (they come apart and are easy to clean).

While I haven't tried them on smoothies yet, I plan to!  These are going to be great this summer.

Now for the fun part!  GreenPaxx is offering a great prize to one of my lucky readers - you can win One box of 2 Cool Caps and one box of 4 Cool Straws.  (Retail value is $19.90)   All you have to do is head on over to GreenPaxx and check out the products, then come on back here and tell me something that you like about them, or something you are interested in knowing more about them.  While I would like for you to check out their facebook page, their pinterest page, and their twitter page - because they are cool - I won't make it mandatory to enter.   One entry per person, please.

I will draw a winner using Random.org on Friday, June 1, at about 6 PM EST.  The winner will need to contact me within 48 hours, or I reserve the right to draw another winner.  As always, I need a way to contact you.  Anonymous commenters, with no contact information, cannot win.  If I can't contact you, I can't get your information to GreenPaxx, and you can't get your prize.  Simple as that.

This giveaway is offered to US residents only.  Please do not enter this giveaway if you have received free products from GreenPaxx within the past 3 months.  I received no compensation other than the free samples for my review.

  2. I like that they are making reusable straws. MY kids love straws but I refuse to buy them bc they are such a wasteful item.. This is definitely something I am interested in..

  3. Love the straws! Better than disposables, and easier to clean (and gentler on the teeth!) than stainless steel ones!

  4. Love it all, especially the cap. Have a six year old who has outgrown little cups with tops. But still needs something, just in case!

  5. my kids love to use straws to drink with but they get wasted and just thrown away, at least with these it also has a top and keeps the liquid in as well

  6. I learned that they have designed their own box made in the U.S without glue so that it is 100% recyclable!

  7. I love the realistic cleaning instructions for the straws because let's be honest, we will forget to rinse immediately. I also love the idea of taking them with you to stores. I like the straws since my toddler refuses to drink anything made in the blender without a straw.

  8. I checked these out a few weeks ago because my toddler is too messy to be trusted with a cup full of smoothie, but her straw sippy cups don't allow for good flow of thicker drinks. These would work really well for her!

  9. I love the option of a 'real' reusable straw! My 3 year old uses straws for pretty much everything, and we end up washing and reusing disposable straws, and even the heavier plastic ones we have get gnawed on and end up being pitched. These would be great!!

  10. I go through so many straws, I would love these reusable ones :) And the caps would also be amazing for my girls who are growing out of the sippy cups :)

  11. So excited about this product. I also have kids too big for sippy cups, but they still spill. Great idea. Question, Will they ever offer other colors than pink and blue? Claire, 6 year old daughter, would love Orange!!

  12. Love the lids and straws. My boys love using straws. I save the cups from the fair that you get fresh lemon aid in but, the lids don't go on all cups like this. :)

  19. I like that they are useable on cups for me! I only have one with a lid that I can use in our carpeted rooms. This will let me use a variety of my own cups and not have to worry about my kids knocking over my drinks as well as their own!
