Review & Giveaway - Crunch a Color

I'm always looking for new ways to get my kids to try new things.

A while back, I received a great new mealtime game to try out - Crunch a Color.  It's a fun way to encourage kids (and yourselves!) to eat a good variety of healthy fruits and vegetables, along with encouraging protein, healthy grains, and liquids, along with good manners during mealtimes!
The Girl and her points for a meal.
The Boy and his points!
There are several different ways to play.  The most basic is to deal out cards after meals for each item eaten - different colored fruits and veggies have different numbers of points, and see who gets the most amount of points per meal.  Extra points are given for things like setting the table, having good table manners, and eating healthy portion sizes.  Trying a new item garners double points for that item!

They didn't finish the rainbow carrot salad, but they tried it, thanks to Crunch a Color!
The game also comes with a chart to keep track of points for a whole week, if you would like to play that way.  As a bonus, a portion of each purchase supports non-profit children's nutrition programs.  That's nothing but good!

You can buy Crunch a Color on Amazon, or .... you could enter to win it here!

The good people at Crunch a Color are offering one of my lucky readers the chance to win a copy of their game!

To enter - please visit Crunch a Color and check out some of the recipes that they have posted, or just look around the site.  Then, come back here and tell me what veggie or fruit you would like to get your kid to eat through using Crunch a Color.  I encourage you to "like" them on Facebook, because they are cool, but I won't make that a requirement.  (While you are at it, if you don't "like" Lunches Fit For a Kid on Facebook yet, you should.  This is also not required, but I love to see you all over there!  It puts a big smile on my face.)

As always, I need a way to contact you.  Anonymous commenters, with no contact information, cannot win.  If I can't contact you, I can't get your information to Crunch a Color, and you can't get your prize.  Simple as that.  US entries only, please.

One comment per person, please.

I will choose a winner, using Random.org, on Sunday, February 19th at 7 PMish, EST.  If the winner doesn't get in touch with me within 48 hours, I reserve the right to pick a new winner.  Good luck!

  2. My kids are really into games right now, so this would be awesome for them! We're vegetarian, so my kids eat their colors pretty well already, but I'm sure there are few that would be eaten with more enthusiasm if there was a game to go with it! :)

  3. I would have to say I would love my little one to eat spinich. As long as I hide it in things she doesn't mind but it would be nice to have her enjoy our spinich salad too. Looks like a great game.

  4. It would be fantastic to get my kids to be more open to trying new things. So Crunch a color might be something that could be truly helpful in doing that. Make it fun and you never know what might happen! Thanks for the chance to win.

  5. Awesome! I've had this in my "save for later" section of my Amazon cart for some time, waiting for some "extra money" heheh :) I'd love it if my kids would give cauliflower a chance!

    1. Have you tried my Cauliflower Popcorn? It's unlike any other cauliflower I've ever had! :)

  6. Grr, I don't have any kids. P:

I AM thinking of opening a college 'bento' lunch box thing. :P Everyone seems to do these for kids. Haha.

  7. We don't have kids yet, but we are definitely concerned about nutrition for when we do. I would do spinach using the spinach muffins. They would be great in a green themed lunch!

  8. Carrots for one child and spinach for the other (well, really for both, but I'll take what I can get).

  9. I think it's a fun way to get kids to eat a wider variety of foods. The spinach muffins look like a cool recipe.
