Here's what Teeny Tiny Spice Company says about their Chocolate Chili:
We rate Chocolate Chili at 4 out of 5 on the heat scale and a 6 out of 5 on flavor.  This blend is one of those rare instances where you get true great flavors along with a deep chili heat.  We love this mix on meats, in chiles and sauces.  A pinch is great in hot chocolate!  Chocolate Chili is a wonderful blend of Latin American flavors with maple sugar giving it a Vermont twist.
So, in order to enter, simply tell me what you'd like to try with this spice mix.
One entry per person (per spice mix).  You can only win one spice mix.  Would you simply use a little in some chili?  How about trying some Chocolate Chili Hot Cocoa, or maybe some spicy sweet chocolate chili brownies?  Would you try it on some steak or chicken?

Winner for the Chocolate Chili will be chosen at random (using random.org) at about 5 PM on Thursday, February 24th.  The winner must get back to me within 48 hours, or I reserve the right to pick a new winner.  Please be sure to include a way to contact you in your comment.

Good luck!  And keep checking back for the next giveaway!  Two more left after this one!

Disclaimer:  Teeny Tiny Spice Company sent me these spice mixes for you.  They may be sending me some samples to try, but otherwise, there is no compensation.  All reviews on these products are my own.

  2. This spice mix sounds delightful!! I would probably try it in chili first then brownies and put in just enough so the kids wouldn't want to eat them! :)

  4. May Canadians enter? I'd try it in hot cocoa first - I think that would be a quick way to find out what it's like and what else it might go with.

  7. I would like to try it in a beans recipe with hamhock~ my husband loves when I cook him beans and particularly likes them spicy. I'm always looking for news sources of heat that also have flavor. I'd also like to try it as a rub on babyback ribs and smoke them. Not to be trumped by the ideas of it probably being delish in some homemade ice cream.... but I'm not a homemade ice cream maker. I bet it'd make a mean chocolate coated truffle or even add some to a chocolate mousse to zip it up. This was fun... thanks for posting the brainstorming challenge.

  8. I would give it to my boyfriend's father, who is a big fan of spice mixes. He would use it on just about everything, starting with meats and branching out into stir-fry, pasta sauce, and whatever else he can dream up. Also, my boyfriend loves heat and would add it to his cocoa! Myself? I'd try to emulate Lake Champlain Chocolates' "Aztec Dark" candies :)

  9. Definitely a mayan hot cocoa. Or maybe add it to a chocoflan cake.
