Recipe: Firework Pancakes

Happy Happy Fourth of July!

I saw these firework cookies around the web, and I thought... how about making that into pancakes??

And they are beautiful!

To make, simply take a bit of your favorite pancake mix and color some red (I used Wilton No-Taste Red) and blue.  Transfer to small squirt bottles.

Ladle your white pancake batter onto a heated griddle.   Make two concentric circles with your colors.

Using a skewer or a toothpick, draw straight (or slightly curved) lines from the center circle through the outer circle to make a pretty design.  When bubbles form on the surface of your pancakes, flip them and serve.
