Yummy. Easy. Versatile.
Oh so Not Really Good For You...
*sigh*
Don't hate me, but I have to share.
I came across this Easy Ice Cream without a Machine on Kevin & Amanda's blog... I knew I had to try it.
The Basic Recipe
2 c whipping cream
1 (14-oz) can sweetened condensed milk (I used fat free)
Add-ins of your choosing
Whip the cream to stiff peaks in a large bowl (I used my stand mixer).
Stir add-ins into the sweetened condensed milk.
Melted marshmallow creme + graham cracker chunks + sweetened condensed milk |
Add in some hot fudge sauce |
Add in whipped cream |
Stir well |
Fold in the whipping cream. Combine well. Pour into a 2-quart container, cover, and freeze for about 6 hours, or until firm. Store in freezer.
S'more Ice Cream. I wouldn't make this flavor again, personally. Too sweet... but I look forward to experimenting. |
So, I made S'mores Ice Cream. I wouldn't make this particular flavor again. It ended up way too sweet for me, and the chocolate flavor was kind of lost to me. The possibilities for other flavors are endless. What kind would you make first? What should I make next? How many squats am I going to have to do to make up for this recipe?
Bluebell makes an awesome Snickerdoodle ice cream, I would try to make a home made version of that.
